Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp

Your 10-Day Northern Circuit Route Kilimanjaro Trek begins at the Londorossi Gate, where you’ll complete park registrations. A short drive takes you to the trailhead. The trek starts through lush rainforests, covering a distance of approximately 6 kilometers. You’ll climb gradually, setting a manageable pace for your journey. Your first overnight stop is at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp, nestled at an elevation of around 2,750 meters.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

The day’s trek, approximately 8 kilometers, takes you to Shira 1 Camp, situated at an altitude of around 3,505 meters. The vistas of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic formations are captivating.

Day 9: Crater Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

After witnessing the sunrise from Uhuru Peak, you’ll descend to Mweka Camp, located at about 3,100 meters. The day encompasses approximately 18 kilometers of trekking.

Day 10: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

The final day of your trek takes you from Mweka Camp to the Mweka Gate, descending through the lush rainforest zone. The journey spans about 10 kilometers, offering a different perspective of the mountain.
